Your New Role:

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and energetic Accounting Intern to join our expanding team supporting commercial construction projects nationwide. If you like both accounting and administration - this job is for you! The ideal candidate should be a proactive self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and efficiently. You will be using your accounting academic education and ability to assist efforts at the Corporate Headquarters in New Orleans.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Posting invoices/payments to QuickBooks and Viewpoint Vista
  • Reconciling bank accounts and credit card accounts
  • Answering phones for accounting department, speaking with vendors and subcontractors
  • Researching issues that arise
  • Utilizing Microsoft office to manage spreadsheets and correspondence
  • Support the accounting team as needed

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic
